Thrifting and why I love it
I love thrifting because it is easy way to up-cycle an item. I love to cut up and make different things with these tees and I love looking at what the store has to offer. Its not only for clothes it's also with hats, mugs, or furniture that nobody else owns.
Thrifting 101
Step one - Go with an open mind. Go in with nothing in mind. Be open to anything and look everywhere.
Step two - Check the item. Make sure there are no holes or stains or scraps or whatever.
Step three - Try items on! I cannot stress how much you need to try things on. Sometimes it looks like it will fit and it might not fit right or not at all. Other times its a perfect fit.
Step four - Look at it think about it. Think about if you are gonna wear it and how often. Think about if you actually want or need the item.
Step five - You might want to up-cycle it, so make sure you can spray paint it or cut it or whatever you want to do with it.
Step six - Have fun and don't have high hopes about the trip. Its a hit or miss kind of thing. Some days you score and others you don't.
